NYLAAT

NYLAAT

We were asked to create the identity for the New York Latin American Art Triennial (NYLAAT), an institution dedicated to presenting contemporary Latin American art within New York’s cultural landscape. The brand needed to reflect the vibrant authenticity of Latin American culture while maintaining the clarity and sophistication expected from major art institutions.

Brand Identity Design | Creative Direction

The identity explores the space where Latin cultural expression meets institutional art language. The logo is built with bold, confident typography that sits comfortably among the visual language of major museums and art institutions. At the same time, the surrounding graphic system introduces expressive color and movement inspired by the vitality of Latin culture. These elements create a visual balance between refinement and energy. A system that feels structured enough for the museum world while still carrying the warmth, rhythm, and spontaneity that define Latin identity.

Möbius

The identity explores the space where Latin cultural expression meets the language of major art institutions. The logo is built with bold, confident typography designed to stand comfortably among New York’s most recognized museum identities. In the context of institutions such as el Museo del Barrio, MoMA, the Guggenheim, or the Whitney, the mark holds its own with clarity and presence.

Around this strong typographic core, the graphic system introduces expressive color and movement inspired by the vitality of Latin culture. The result is a visual language that balances structure and spontaneity, where institutional sophistication meets cultural energy.
